Chef Benito Cruz built his career in the culinary industry from the ground up. He started as a dishwasher and immediately fell in love with the talents and energy he found in professional kitchens. Today, Chef Benito brings with him 33 years of experience at gourmet restaurants, including French Market Grill, L’Auberge Del Mar, Omni Hotel San Diego and Bernardo Heights Country Club.
With an extensive background in the culinary arts, Chef Benito chose to work in senior living because he appreciates the opportunity to build a closer relationship with the people he serves. “It’s really rewarding,” he said. “I am able to respond to direct feedback and appreciation from the residents I serve to make their experience as personalized and delightful as possible.” Chef Benito describes his cooking style as contemporary with a Californian and French influence.
